Porcelain tank lids are designed around a specific tank shape. Small differences in the tank rim can make a seemingly close lid rock, overhang or fail to seat.
Can different model numbers share the same lid?
Yes. Some manufacturers reuse the same lid across related tank models, update part numbers over time, or sell the same toilet under different retail model numbers. That is why a compatibility list can be more useful than matching only one number.

- Overall shape and corner profile

What if you cannot find the exact model?
Do not guess from measurements alone. Gather photos of the tank markings, tank rim, old lid or broken pieces, and the full toilet. Those clues can often identify a compatible lid even when the original part number is unknown.
